Ok, Steve, let’s see what that brings up before we get too involved with logos etc.. As I mentioned before, I think we need to decide what we will be doing before a logo happens, though I hope my efforts so far will be useful.

Hi again Paul - Yes I agree, but it is clearly a great assett to have your expertise in graphics and design within our group. Choosing a name is easy, but turning it into something that presents an exiting, positive message, and image, is something else!

I have a PDF from FP - and I have a slightly better version of this one. I won’t post it as at screen resolutions, you won’t see a difference.
I would be proud to have a quality metal badge like this on my car - very smart.

Regional variants are a possibility.

I agree whole heartedly Steve, and thanks Paul for the graphics work to date. Once we have decided on which route we are taking, I'm happy to talk to Rob at LikwidArt and ask him to come up with a sample for us.

HI,
just a quick reply as my life seems V busy at the moment. I support the international consistency suggested by FP and the localised variations such as XFi- UK. It also moves away from the potential issues of a XFUK potential profanity etc.

cheers,

Paul

I have two....OK I will stick with one....but here are my thoughts/reasons.

(1) XFi UK.....XFiUK---Has a nice feel about it and links in with the forum.

(2) UK Xfire Car Club UKXCC---Sound right and rings well.. very temped..and there's no mistaken what we are!

But I will go with the flow.

I will go for XFi UK..Unless there is interest iin my second choice..

Ken

I think the XFi UK stands out the most for me.

Paul... You mention having the XFi UK as a metal badge? Are suggesting an independent badge or one to cover the exsisting Chysler badges front and back.

It would in the colours shown be a nice addition to the rear of the Xfire..lower section or R.H side of boot lid.

**Would someone tell/show me how to move an image from another thread to a new posting like this one?

Ken..

I’m not talking about replacing existing Chrysler badges. I was thinking something along these lines:

I like this allot, It gives it that international feel, and the colors work for well for US and UK .

Hi All..May I suggest we all try to agree on a Badge/Logo design ASAP. Only five of us gave/posted a clear answer to the last request

Paul H.D, has kindly offered to do the ground work/design on this and has already submitted some good ideas and suggestions.

Steve-UK posted a list with various suggestions on Sept 17th, do have a look and see what you fancy..or maybe you have another idea..if so, put it forward.

Sorry to labour the point, But we have all stated at some time or other how we all like the thought of having a say in the clubs direction, but unless we all make our thought/views known via the general post's no agreements and suggestions will ever materialize.

Cheers

Ken.

Hi,
final choice, I believe. The XFi won’t be happening now, so I’v moved on along some GB / UK logos.

I would advise against something which could be seen as rude (XFUK is just too close to the knuckle and could put people off), so I’m not putting this one forward this time.

Hi All
I'm sorry to say this but i just do not get the badge design , I just can not see this style badge going with rest of the car design , I cann't think where to put the badge to fit in . If we are thinking a head & looking into polo shirts etc are we sure the design will lend its self to this ?? . I'm not trying to upset anyone its just in my mind it just does not go (sorry Paul) .

Cheers

Andy

Hi All

We need more suggestions regrading designs etc for our badge /logo as XFiUK is currently no longer an option

Its a tough job for Paul to design our group badge when so few of us have put idea's forward.

Do you want a badge for the xfire yes or no or a stick on strip for the rear window with details printed ? or a group name? or nothing at all?

A strange thing will happen without suggestions.......................Nothing!

Ken.

Looking at my gallery...here are couple of ideas to think about..

Could we have a shield similar to the Karmann design with the following included ( see below)....or a Yellow or White number plate design..with club wording included, both the above would ..in my view..look good placed under the rear O/S light cluster.... or maybe the outline of the Xfire as used on the forum and FP's tee shirt..we would need to ask about using this..and add our club wording below.

UK-Crossfire-Club...or...Club-Xfire-GB or UK within the shield..

Just my thoughts... Ken

Hi Ken

I quite like the idea of a small badge. We could stick this on the back below the lamps or on the sides below the vents. Would the shape of the Chrysler oval badge work?
