Thumbs up Re: Dec 7th Christmas Lunch Meet..

Ken,
thanks - I got back and there’s a message on the answer phone from them confirming the day. Glad that’s all sorted out. So we’ll be there on the day, car and all.

It’s been a stressful day all round. Now all I have to do is crack the other work related problem, and I’ll be happier.

Hi Ken,
I'm going to try and make it for the cruise and photo shoot, would 3 PM be a good guess for that starting ? Otherwise let me know your best guess, just thinking that light levels may be a problem after the meal ? Let me know the plan.

Just a reminder for everyone the calendar pictures so far are here

http://www.flickr.com/photos/8238800@N08/

There is a Crossfire section and an astronomy one. Although in a crossover there is a picture of my Crossfire at an astronomy event. Otherwise known as the M.O.V. or Meteor Observing Vehicle. When there is a meteor shower I can be seen taking advantage of the top down, heater and heated seats on and watching meteor showers in sheer luxury ! Makes the other astronomers envious.

cheers

Paul

Hi Paul

By the time we finish lunch it will be around 3pm so no problems..Perhaps Henley and surrending countryside will provide some good locations for our Xfire pictures..

Hi,
we’ll start losing the light about then. Bring tripods and expect long exposure times.

Regarding the light and taking pictures, lets start lunch at 12.30 ish it may help a little..

Once Paul (beeblerox) arrives we can start the cruise and hope for good lighting conditions..Lets also hope the weather is dry, clear and bright..

Ken.

Well, Bodyman-Lissfx-Bamp-Hairydalk-Steve-Uk and Mogsta...As you can see I've arranged to have a Turbo fitted to my restyled xfire for our Christmas meet...how are you all going to complete with that!

See you on Sunday.

Hop Along KennyBoy

PS.. As I'm a bit skint at the moment, I've asked Jon if he would consider a month's use of my Bus Pass and Disabled Parking permit as payment.

I’m sure we’ll come up with something. I’ve added some elastic bands and a cotton reel to mine.

Cheers to you for using Christmas!!

I've been taught recently that it is not PC to say Merry Christmas, I must say Happy Holidays.

Well I'm done with that,,, Merry Christmas to all and to all a good ride.

Rodimus..Perhaps it should be Mary Christmas considering the reason for the event!

Whatever it is, have a good one and keeps your rev's high.

I'm sorry to say that I now won't be able to make it for the lunch tomorrow due to a family illness. Ken - I have e-mailed you.

Let's hope the sun shines tomorrow . Sorry to miss the chance to catch up with you all, but hopefully see you at the next one.

Enjoy!

Cheers
Chris

Looks like a good time was had by all. I hope everyone got back home safe and well.

Amanda hs posted her video of the cars leaving the park on YouTube:

She has videos of the proceedings in the restaurant - but she wants to know if it’s OK to post them - if anyone has an objection to being on the interweb, let me know.

Hi, nice meeting up again, if only for a short time ! Thanks Ken for organising the Christmas event, hope to make all of it in 2009. I have posted some pics on :

http://www.flickr.com/photos/8238800@N08/

The quality is low with the fading light on my compact camera, but somewhat atmospheric. Hopefully the other Paul's are better. If anyone has any more pics then please send them to me.

cheers

Paul
