Perhaps we could try Santa Pod again next year during drier and warmer times..

Spring in the New Forest would make a for a great first meet of 2009, there is plenty to see and do. I will chat to Chris (Lissxf) as he mentioned he had some good contact's at The National Motor Museum Beaulieu.

Plus, there is pony trecking..Buckler's Hard..peacfull walks with viewing of deer's pony's etc that all run free. There are also plenty of Olde Worlde villages with tea room's and good shopping.

And lastly, some great location's to drive to and photograph our Xfires..

Ken..

Shame the Santa Pod gig is off - but with the weather looking poor, it would not have been fun in the cold.

New Forest sounds good for next year. I’ve never been to the Beaulieu museum, so that may be a target. Amanda likes horses and ponies, so we’ll be quids in on that score.

New Forest area is great, as Ken says, very special place of natural beauty, a meet up at the motor museum would be good. This could do to be a weekend meet so some research for accomodation may be needed.
Sounds good to me!

I forgot to mention there are also some great village pubs in the forest..this info is for the real ale drinkers amongst us..and particularly for Steve-UK!
