We are proud to launch our web site for Chrysler Crossfire enthusiasts in the UK.
We have discovered that UK drivers have sometimes not joined the Crossfire Forum or CICCI because they believed it to be US only. This new web site aims to deliver a “UK Presence” that provides a signpost “Portal” in the Uk to the best resources on the net, mainly the Forum and CICCI.
We will be able to promote our UK meetings and hopefully attract more people to the meetings, the forum and CICCI. Some key articles will be included on the site to provide an attractive “shop window” to these services.
This is not a commercial site and is being produced by people giving up their own personal time. The site has been almost exclusively developed by Hairy Dalek ( Paul Dunning ) and we would like to thank him very much for his contribution to the “Uk Crossfires”.

Please let us know if you have any suggestions for content. I think we’ve covered pretty much all the ground we need to at the moment as far as sections and categories go. We’ll obviously keep it up to date with details of upcoming meets, but other stuff such as maintenance etc. needs to be fleshed out more.
Oh - want to see something truly, exceptionally cool? We’re using CoolIris on the galleries.
1 - Go to one of the Galleries. I’ll link to one for simplicity here: Galleries - Billing Aquadrome, 2009
2 - You can click on the pictures, and they will open nicely in the browser window.
But wait, that’s NOT the cool bit.
3 - Click on the small Green/Blue icon to the bottom right of one of the thumbnails in the gallery.
4 - A NEW kind of gallery will open. Click on the link TOP RIGHT that says VIEW THIS IN 3D
5 - You will be taken to the CoolIris web page and will be prompted to download and install a browser plugin. Do this, restart your browser and go back to the gallery page.
6 - Now click on that blue/green icon bottom right of the images.
This was all just shockingly easy to install on the site too.
Caveat: if you are one of the lucky Mac users running Snow Leopard, this will not work in Safari running in 64-bit mode. You will need to restart Safari in 32-bit mode, or try Firefox. We’ll have to wait for CoolIris to catch up.

A couple of points:
1 - Uk Cruisers is linking to us now:
UK Cruisers Links
2 - Pete, the UK Cruisers webmaster needs to be thanked as he pointed out a couple of minor layout problems which I had not seen on my system. He’s a couple of OS points behind me, and this seems to make a difference. All should be well now.

The arrival of the UK Crossfire website is a major leap forward for UK Xfire fans and will play a special role in informing UK Crossfire owners and enthusiasts about the cars, the UK meets, the forum and of course CICCI..
As the site grows with the addition of articles and info' I think it will become a key reference point for Xfire owners far and wide!
A BIG vote of thanks goes to Paul (Hairydalek) who has given so much of his professional time and expertise in creating a super-doopa site for all Crossfire Fanatics to enjoy!

You should start to see articles from Steve - UK popping up on the site - he’s sent a few along, and I’ve added them and set one to appear each week. Thanks, Steve!
