can anyone help, i had a windscreen fitted 4weeks ago , then the silver strip along the top of the screen flu off, and now i need a new one, went to chrysler and they want £350 .... and dont no when they can get hold of one, there on back order ,anyone help ? martin

 

It's a no - brainer!
(1) Sue the *** off who ever fitted the screen, as they were responsiple for putting it all back together properly.

(2) There are plenty of cars in the breakers yards now as the insurance companies write them for minor damage due to lack and expense of parts.

 

thanks , iv tryed all scrap yards on the net, no luck. also rang the window pepole and it looks to me they are going to be hard work !!!! ill just keep trying the yards, oh well this is the second xfire iv had ,first the coupe, and now the roadster, pepole slag them but i think there gr8t, best looking by far, had a m3 53reg befor this but they are like arXX holes eveyone has one

 

Check out Ebay, usually a couple of cars being broken for spares on there - good luck

 

Did you use your insurance to replace the windscreen? If so, put the problem in their court, thats what you pay them for. They maybe concerned to hear the windscreen replacement complany they use are shoddy cowboys.

 

thank god , got new trim £80 shes back to her former glory if you ever have a screen fitted make sure there is no gap between the trim & screen, the tinyest gap will blow it off,, and you carnt even get them from chrysler, they are on back order, 2/3 months wait at a cost of £350, MAD rip off.

 

So, where did you find it?

 

found it in a scrap yard in london, they had one in, that bit was about the only tjing left,
