Default Luggage space!

Since changing from a Coupe with limited boot space,to a Roadster with virtually none. I have had to improvise and found that if you sacrifice a few inchs of leg space its possable to hang cloths behind the seats.

I use a short plastic clothes contaner for shirts & trousers..and Jane has her own. No need to fit hooks, just suspend hangers from a loop attached to the metal safety protector behind each head rest. It works a treat for shorter items.

I travel on a Harley Wide Glide. It has saddle bags and I have some other bags I strap to the forks and luggage rack/sissy bar. By comparison, I think any XFire has a TON of luggage room!

UKken..
If you really want lots of storage space, put the wife in the trunk and take out the passenger seat, lots of room then. It also leads to a quieter ride when the bellowing from the trunk stops.

As an ex biker, like you I traveled light...But being married is a different ball game...Even when I had a Volvo Estste its was tight for Jane's luggage, unless I laid down the rear seats... not joking, i.e a wekend away = 2 good size suitcases, a hold-all for miscellancous items plus hanging clothes bags..

Keep biking my friend!

Ken.

Are you a darts player or planing to be around for a very long time!

I have a friend in our Crossfire Group called Linda..who may fit in the trunk...to be confirmed at a later date!

For my Jane, the only answer isi fitting a hook and trailer to the Roadster!

My soon to be ex used to feel the need to bring *everything* she might need when traveling. In addition to her clothes, makeup and other female care items, she'd bring things like a coffee maker, coffee, creamer, sugar, coffee cups and a spoon.

When I got the bike, she started out filling both saddle bags (just for us to go out cruising for the day). I added a round bag on the handlebars to give her more room if we were heading to a major event. Over the years, she has whittled down and whittled down. She now goes with only what she can fit in either a fanny pack, or a purse that she can throw on as a backpack.

It must hurt when she figures she can whittle away one more item ....... you.
Sorry, but I could not resist. You did set yourself up for that comment.

Hurt? I would LOVE for her to get rid of me! Couldn't possibly happen fast enough.
We've already agreed to split up. I told her she could stay until she got a job and got things together so she can move out. She has since decided she might not want to go. I keep trying to convince her otherwise.

Oddly, we get along great and still do things together.

It's getting more difficult for me though - I already have #3 waiting in the wings.

If you can get the back end of a coupé and turn that into a trailer. Better still, get two back ends, weld them together and make a small trailer/caravan to tow!
