Default Audio Problem Cured...

I had reason to remove the radio, and on replacing had no station reception..CD worked..radio was serching for stations...I removed again and checked wiring contactions, aerial both ends etc.

Replaced, still the same problen....I felt it had to be the aerial not receiving a signel...I was correct. Fault, on very close inspection of both the aerial cable end and connector on rear of radio, I found the fault, the male conector is very thin almost pin size and was not conecting firmly with the radio plug..on closing the receving connector, squizing together, the problem was fixed..

Thought the above info may be usful to xfire owners at some stage

Interesting! My radio has started changing channel by itself in the last couple of weeks (she seems to favour radio 4 and city talk...) I wondered if some moisture had got in somewhere but perhaps it is a similar problem?

Is it set on Auto Scan? Try manually setting the stations and see if it holds them
