A Hog Roast will take place at the finish in a marquee at the cost of £10 per ticket. If you require a lunch, email mkclassictours@aol.com giving your name and car number, along with number required. Pay for these in cash at Sign On and lunch tickets will be issued.

We can all meet there by 08.00 and park in our allotted spaces, then go and "sign on" which needs to be done at least 45 min before our start times. I understand we get the route given to us then. We can then go get a breakfast on site there, before the first XF is away at 09:09. If the first few XF's away take it steady we at the back should catch up!

Number 71 Start Time 09:05 John & Lesley
Number 79 Start Time 09:09 Damien & Mark
Number 83 Start Time 09:11 Ken & Gareth
Number 86 Start Time 09:12 Simon Philips
Number 97 Start Time 09:18 Steve & Chris
Number 106 Start Time 09:22 Mo & Gill

Cheers for now
Steve

Many thanks to the following who took part in our first Car Rally today!

We had a fantastic day following our route through the Bedfordshire countryside - and managing to make a few wrong turns! With some fast laps at Millbrook we put the Crossfires through their paces with both Ken's car and mine being driven on the limit! With 200 cars taking part, Ferraris, Porsches, Jags and Astons were plentiful, but the best looking cars, that really stood out on the day were still the Crossfires!

Pete & Denise Bailey had booked and would have been car 86 had a problem not cropped up their car. At the last minute, Simon and Louise took their place, and out thanks go to Pete for passing this on. We will be back next year!

Number 86 Start Time 09:12 Simon & Louise
Number 97 Start Time 09:18 Steve & Chris

Well done Steve. A great day and what a veried slection of cars to view..old and new..

I was pleasently surprised at how the xfire's behaved on the circuit and no amount of pushing at speed caused any problems or loss of traction.

Maybe this meet should be a permenent fixture, well worth the entrance fee with lots of free extras included..If we book earlier next year then maybe more of our xfire owners will attend this limted number cruise.

Definitely in for next year!
I reckon if every one that wanted to go this year had got in, we would have had at least 9 there - so more forward planning need next time. When folks see the write up in the news letter, may be more will go for it as well

The cars were great on Millbrook - as you say, no matter how hard we pushed, they just stuck to the road. And while we passed all the cars we caught up with - no one passed us!

But of course many drivers were just out for a nice leisurely gentle ride; its only us petrol heads that really went for it!

Hi everyone.

I don't have a Crossfire but thought I would sign up to make a couple of apologies...

1) On behalf of my mate Russ, whose BMW 1502 inadvertently let off a massive backfire when he was passing a Crossfire on the ski jump coming down loop 3 at Millbrook. I was following behind and it was quite possibly the most hilarously timed thing I've seen in my life.

2) To the Crossfires that were following us after Millbrook, and we ended up going the wrong way a couple of times. You didn't look particularly amused!
