N/S Front fog light
While I was in the garage a few jobs on the Crossfire , I was checking the lights, I just turned on my front fog lights, as I turned them off, I heard a bang, went to the front to have a look and my fog light had just cracked, the car has been in the garage for over a week while I am having the wheels refurbished and my new tyres fitted, so not a stone or anything, anyone else had this problem.
And is it a dealer only part, or is there a cheaper alternative
, Ive not checked the dealer price yet, but I can't see them being cheap
thanks Paul

Search all morning, no one has any 2nd hand fog light, so just ordered two new ones, as they have been modified and look odd unless you replace the pair, ordered from Petagon Chrysler Barnsley (Lee in parts dept), £202 inc vat!!, but he did give me a 10% discount, which was good of him
So will have a spare drivers side for sale if anyone is interested.

y'now, I thing that this is one area where if I lose my fogs for some reason I'll be modifying that aspect with after market stuff. They're going to get harder to fin, and the cost is way up there for what they're worth. there's good lightsout there now, even the small LED driving lights are really good today. The ones available for motorcycles are pretty amazing.
I think your right, there's got to be a market out there for some aftermarket spots or daytime running lights for the crossfire's.

Do the LED lights on eBay mount inside the OEM assembly, or would I have to take out the glass assembly and drill holes in the bumper to mount them?
in my MC I mounted an aluminum duoble ended eye hook turnbuckle to the front fender mounting holes way down low, then mounted the 55W driving lights to that and that looks really good as a mount. and the lights are down low illuminating the road itself a long way off, and to the sides and really bright about 50' in front of the bike

I would agree with you, I think it must be the heat aswell, from my experience just turning the lights on in the garage and breaking the glass.
Most people who have had broken fog lights on there Crossfires would have put it down to a stone hitting it, I bet alot of them would be down to heat.
I have cross referenced the bulbs out of my spot lights and come up with these led's, low voltage so low heat, I am going to give them a try

I would suspect a problem with the way the lights are set up ... Indy's climate conditions and mine since I bought my car have been similar. Early on I had a condensation problem with my headlamps.
As for the mounts, I was hoping there would be some way I could mount it from behind. But I think I will look at some LED lights similar to those recommended by Indy that mount inside the OEM assembly. I don't want any Fancy-Gangster crystal lighty thingies within 100 miles of my ride
And as for you, MKIIindy ...
