My headlight lenses (clear covers) on my 54 plate roadster are going very cloudy at the top section. can anyone suggest a cleaner that really works or a source for replacements , if this is possible

Thanks

Thanks for such a quick answer. Unfortunately though it seems this is only available in the States. Anyone in the UK have a solution?

It seems as though it is a poor formulation of UV inhibitors in the plastic itself.

As for repairing it yourself, Wet sanding by hand or machine and then a final plastic polish work great.

Do some more searches on the "Lighting..." forum and you 'll get your answers X10.

I believe it is a poor clearcoat causing the problem.

Once you are able to get the clearcoat off the lens, the rest is just a matter of sanding it smooth again. I recommend 3M as well, but other brands will work with good results.

Mine are the same. I waxed on them the other day. OK for now.

First of all "foxy" .... put your location in your profile so we "across the pond" and over there, will know, and possibly lead you correctly. I know you posted in the UK section, but a lot of people don't really look there. LOL Please ... no disrespect intended....
Secondly .... if you're anywhere near Southhampton, get together with shedman, and maybe kill 2 birds with one stone. Just my dos centavos ......
