Default he's only gone and done it!

Hi all, hope you are well? Last week I just purchased a standard coupe crossfire and have come across this forum. Looking to get to know other owners and educate myself more on my car :-)

So far only 3 issues I have is drivers seat base not heating and when idling at lights, car seems to wobble a little. Finally when driving, temp needle sits a smidge above midway point. Any of these things that I should be dusting the ol' credit card off for in your eyes?

Look forward to speaking to you all :-D

well done dude!

Drivers seat base not heating is a common fail that being said have a poke around the forum for some solution (but IIRC it won;t be cheap)

No idea about the 'wobble'

On mine the temp gauge sits just a smidge below half most of the time

HTH

Hi. The wobble could be the steering dampner which may be the original you have. They should be replaced every 25000 miles or so. It is cheap and an easy install. Check out this thread about it....

A smidge above half is over 200 degrees F, I'd suggest a complete flush and a new 185 degree thermostat.
Make sure you use distilled water and the proper antifreeze.
I used Zerez G05, 1.5 US gal and the remainder distilled water.
The thermostat was around $45, easy to change.

I have to say, it is a dangerous thing to have a credit card and access to so many tuning bits and bobs on the internet!

So sounds to me like - get a basic service done for peace of mind, change the thermostat, change steering dampner and get wheels aligned again and should be in a good place right? Also what site do you guys recommend to go on for styling accessories for our cars? And on a final note, anyone got recommendations for good mechanics around harrow or watford area? Thanks people!
