wel after almost 3 months wrangling with insurance companies lookslike the arsehole that ran into me getting away with it.

he crossed into my lane and ripped the side out of our XF roadster with his car transporter trailer, decided he wasnt going to stop my wife drove after him pulled him over, he then said she hit him,
he never reported it to insurance we did,
he said to insurance he had CCTV footage when he didnt
he said to his insurance he had a tape of me ringing him and admiting it was my wifes fault, he didnt
he never returned calls or paper work to my insurers or provided any of the above.

but yet they decided on a 50/50 knock for knock claim, at least i got mine booked in for next thursday and she will be back to her former glory, also getting the wheels refurbed at the same time

Glad your getting the car sorted.

I had similar probs couple years ago when some pratt was pi$$ing about in snow and came straight into my path (wifes fiesta) and damaged front drivers side of wifes car but only light paint scuffs on pratts car.
He was stating I was doing this and I was doing that and i ran into him, I would have took pics but that was the only time I didnt have my phone with me.
Anyway insurance did 50/50. they said its so much easier to do that than dragging claims on and on
