Depends what color it is now, and how good a job is done on it. A black car is easiest as all the engine bay and undersides can be left as is. If you see any of the old color under doors, fenders, hoods etc no matter what color it is now, except for black, looks like crap. Stripping the car down is best. Lets say a blue respray showing, let's say the original red in odd places will not look good to a buyer in the future. it will knock money of the selling price.
Do a Fubu and go white. All it takes is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Well if I were to re paint it would have to the factory blaze red - why they never did red SRT's I've priced this a couple of times, and for proper complete job involving stripping the car down its lots of £££. Speak to Jon Bodyman - he did his from Sapphire Silver Blue to Alabaster White, so can tell you whats involved.

I usually say to never change a cars color from the color pallet that was available from the factory on that particular model. Since SRT's only came in 4 colors, your options are quite limited. So even if you choose a non-SRT ( but still a Crossfire) color, you are still quite limited.
When the Crossfire eventually starts to appreciate in value, the SRT's will be the first to go up. Repainting the car will take away from the cars value, repainting the car a different color will bring it down even more.
If you plan on keeping the car for a very long time, then paint it your favorite color, and just enjoy it. You can always paint it back to the original color when it comes time to sell it at Barrett Jackson.
Some day I hope to pick up a black "salvaged" Base Crossfire and have it repainted in my favorite color.
Good Luck

If I were to respray my SRT6 Roadster it would be Porsche Guards RED. Single stage urethane. No clear coat. I just painted a Norton that color from black. gary

I have always thought the XF would look great in a British Racing or Hunter Green.

Well I did about three years ago. Blue to white. Always wanted a white crossfire but they were not available in the UK. So, a bit of luck, I owned my own body shop. Now I have a white one. It was a complete paint job, in engine bay to under the wheel arches. All the blue is gone. There's a few pic's on www.ukcrossfire.co.uk under photo galleries page 3. Heading: Bodymans respray.

I would go where no one else has travelled. SRT6 that is. That is the following colors:

Orange
Kiwi green
Purple
British Racing green
BMW 850csi red
But the coolest color would be mgf trophy yellow.

Yep, I would make it yellow and have black (maybe stock) rims with yellow calipers. That would be freaking awesome. When are you doing it?
