Wanted - Crossfire Convertible
I remember on a visit to my brother in Atlanta around 2005 listening to some locals chatting in a bar and moaning that if 'gas' didnt stop rising it would soon be a dollar per gallon...........I nearly choked on my drink, at that time we were paying the equivalent of around $8 per gallon!!!!
Yep thats for a year, we have a band system here you can pay anything for £0 to £460 depending on what you drive, I have never been able to work it out
the cut off date was 23 march 2006, so if your xf was registered on 22 march 2006 you pay £260 ish if it was registered on 25 march 2006 you pay £460.. go figure...
....some people`s xf was registered only a couple of days after the cut off date so copped the higher figure...(wasn`t they ken)...

Skint UKKen.
I've secured a car today, buying over the phone is not something I would usually do but i've held it on a small deposit with a dealer which is refundable if not 'as described' when I arrive, but with the current mix of weather and my work commitments coupled with living on a rock in the middle of the Irish sea its likely to be 2 weeks before I can get to pick it up.
Thank you for the tips and advice you guys have provided during my search, both on the forum and through pm's, I'm confident that based on the info you all gave me i've been able to sort the wheat from the chaff and ask all the right questions before I committed to a deal, and i'm sure i'll be back on here to ask a few more questions once I get it home.
The car by the way is a late 04 Roadster in met blue, 2 lady owners, 55000m with 4 new tyres and a service 1000m ago, I know photo's can be deceiving but i've also had the dealer talking me around it too and describing every little detail and imperfection, and it all stacks up.

Sorry I just checked and the dealer has taken the car off his website which he said he would do once I put the deposit down, i've saved the photo's though and will try and post a couple on here later.
Do you know which Blue it is and check it has both keys (they can be expensive and troublesome to replace)
Thanks for the reminder on the key's, i'm sure I checked that with him as being a Merc owner i'm familiar with the costs and hassle of replacing them.
Here it is, I tried to post more it only let me load one.

Take no notice of him!!!! our friends from across the pond just can't seem to except the fact that THEIR steering wheels are on the wrong side!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm planning to pick the car up a week on Saturday
hopefully the snow will have gone by then!!
Oh and i'm shopping for some overmats has anyone ordered from these people?
Car Mats by SCM
They work out around £40 for black with Crossfire text on the outer sides and silver coloured trimmed edges and footpad.
Any other sites I should try?

I'm pleased with them as they fit well. However, the fasteners they fit are not a perfect match for those fitted by Chrysler. As I was replacing factory mats I wanted them to fasten correctly, luckily I just swapped the old fasteners from my old mats.
If the car has factory fasteners you might want to check the ones on the mats will fit. It seems a lot of places think the Chrysler ones are the same as Vauxhall which there not.
I hope it helps
My mats came from this seller on eBay Chrysler Crossfire 2004-Current Premier Tailored Car Mats Set | eBay
