Default Two Tone Crossfire Coupe

I'm currently unable to locate the right Red or Black xfire to replace my Black Roadster.

Question...Has anyone seen or own a two tone coloured xfire Coupe??

I viewed a fantastic low mileage one owner early 2006 ( low tax bracket)..Sapphire Silver Blue Metallic xfire with dark grey trim. Very tempted to purchase, but its not truely the colour I want.

I thought of respraying the roof section from the bottom of the window back...but there is no real cut off point/line seperating the roof section from the remainder of the car...if you know what I mean? The bonnet will stay the original colour.

Any serious thoughts?

UKKen.

it might be unique but personaly dont think it would look right..maybe we have a clever bod on the forum with photoshop who could play around to show you what it would look like..have thought about having the bonnet, roof, and tailgate painted black on mine but might be an expensive mistake so bottled out, suppose a vynyl wrap to see what it looked like might be an idea...you just know the right one will come up when you`ve parted with your money for one that will just do because you`ve been waiting a long time..just my thoughts...catch up soon ken...chris

Beaner's working 12 hour days, 7 days a week on the Welland Canal until the end of March, so he may not get back to you right away.

You asked for two-tone.. I gave you two-tone..

Didn't say I liked it..

Personally I find the body lines very attractive on this car, and it just seems any graphics or two-tones draw your eyes away from the natural beauty.

Chip Foose is a legendary American tuner and does amazing things with the most ordinary cars, what he could do with a Crossfire would be very special

He has some shows on Sky.

A red 2006 coupe has just been listed on ebay. If it did not have grey trim, I would have been very interested. For me it needs to have dark grey trim.

Forum member tdannar photoshopped this 78 Corvette "Pace Car" stripe onto James's beautiful red XF for me. I realize it's not what you're going for, but I like it.

Actually I think the Crossfire's unique design lends itself to lots of different 2-tone combinations.
Somebody here has a light gold coupe with just the center section of the roof and the section below the rear window painted black. I'm not sure, but I think the hood strake area is painted black as well.
Google "American Muscle Cars" and you may find a design that you might like to try on your Crossfire.
I wasn't that crazy about Beaners 2-tone Crossfire until I saw it in person, and it looks really nice.
You may want to try a wrap, that way if it doesn't look as good as you had planned, it's simple to change.
Don't hesitate to modify your car anyway that you want. Some people may like it others won't. But the only person you have tp please is yourself.
Good Luck.''

Some interesting colour combinations in the above links. Mainly black used as the additional colour. Your correct, each to there own. Within the UK xfire group there are currently no colour mixes...yet!

Hey Ken,

Take a look in my gallery for the two toning that I did. It may give you some ideas.
