Chrysler Crossfire 3.2 V6 SRT-6 2dr Auto Coupe 2006
Really? If it's as good as they claim, it's as near to a brand new SRT as you're likely to get these days... Haggle hard to nearer 10k and surely it'd still be a bargain long-term keeper?

wow you can have my 2007 Aero Blue SRT6 for £9500! Its newer and not a common colour on 30K miles and imaculate after total reburb completed over winter, going for MOT tommorow and some of that horrible road tax!! Id be happy going back to a Red standard coupe or roadster.

Yeah, right - after all the effort you put into your SRT...!
I just thought that a couple of grand more for so few miles was pretty good.
I'd be taking serious look at that SSB if I hadn't got my 30k black SRT - not that it'll be as good as yours...
Planning to take the plunge with road tax again in about a month's time.

Mileage isnt that important to many people and these old MB engine will go on for ever, but must admit I like low mileage cars and always look for as low as possible miles when buying. Trouble is I then go and use it and find Im back where I started! This SSB looks great at 12 K is prob the lowest you'll ever find now and though a bit expensive, would be a great car to have if you were prepared to pay the price. As Mo says, at bit of haggling is needed just to make it sensible

No, I thought that after taking the time to get it spot on I would have liked it more but I'm still not that taken with it, and given the chance Id swop it for my old Red coupe tomorrow

Steve...Give the new owner a call. He may be happy to swap, plus a few pounds for a SRT6 ...worth asking?

That's a shame - what are you unhappy with? - it's pretty unusual to want to go back to an NA having sampled the delights of an SRT - unless it's the old auto vs. manual thing...
which I get - a couple of old Beemers and a Chrysler Voyager were my only autos among many manuals before the SRT - obviously very different animals.

Having MOT'd and taxed it today I took the SRT out for the first time since early December, a good run up to York and back and around 200 miles on A & B roads. I find that compared to the Std XF this one has a harder ride, harder seats, so not as nice on long journies. It also tram lines more, and doesnt corner as well, being very skittish especialy at the back, and generaly less stable when cornering a bit harder. Though Ive tried 32psi 34psi and 36psi, Ive had this tyre set up on three XF's now so have a basis for comparisn. Its such a shame it sounds more like a transit van than a sports car, and Ive even removed and refitted the exhaust system to check for leakes. May be I was spoilt by the Startech sytem on the last XF! I may have to go same way as Mo on exhaust! I'm not realy criticising the SRT too much as it is set up very differently to the Std car to cope with the extra Oomph which is fantastic so long the cars going in a straight line lol. Maybe the French trip will convince me

Hard ride? You should try 1,400 miles in one go as I did with my son bringing the car back from Florida. I put a set of Konis on it as soon as I could and set them to soft.
New tires made a big difference as well. I use a cushion for longer trips still. My NA was a comfy armchair in comparison to the way it was, now days it is nearly the same.
I have summer tires on and when it got below 45° the rear was really skittish.

You will get used to it Steve The SRT needs more input from the driver to get the best out of it, you cant just sit and enjoy the ride. Don't understand your cornering problem you will probably find it's not the car, though not very forgiving if you get your entry wrong going into a corner, it will bite you on the **** Get a few more miles under your belt, learn how to drive it to get the best out of it and you will not even consider going back to a N/A

Yes agreed with 180 and Mo, I need to get some more miles done and I reckon a Magnaflow exhaust might put a bit more fun into it ps new pic !
Mo, can you confirm the Magnaflow set up - is it just a single pippe into the back box with two taipipes? I've a feeling you may have done something more special?

will do Steve. I got some pics of under the car while it was still on the ramp. will email them to you tonight as they are on the home pc

goto www.profusioncustom.com my car is in their gallery. it is a cat back system. the only thing I had done was have the exhaust note tuned to my requirements. The off the shelf Magnaflow system I put on Gills N/A is too loud for my taste and I wanted a deeper tone. Get it wrong and you could find that the exhaust noise ressinates inside the cabin and that will probably drive you mad!!!
