Default Downhearted

This is the hardest car I have ever tried to sell.

I think I have priced it reasonably and only had 1 yes 1 enquiry and that was a no show.
I have even been turned down by dealers saying they really like the look of the car but feel they will have it stuck on their forecourt too long.

I can't afford to reduce the price much more. It looks like I'm going to be stuck with a car I'm no longer in love with

I do feel for you - it's a common problem these days as the XF is seen to be a 'large engined car'. I guess that most people seem to think that a 1.8/2.0 is extravagant so a 3.2 just blows their minds, add in the Jezza Clarkson factor and it's not an easy sell. IMO you need to keep it for sale and just enjoy it until it goes - as the saying goes it only takes one interested person.

Good luck

How much you got it up for now Russ?

Cars here in the South East seem to be moving.

Fall in love again would seem to be the best answer to the problem. IMO, the word hasn't reached the right person yet so keep finding new ways to announce your car.

I have it at £5250 which I don't think is extortionate for what it is, when I look at others advertised I think mine is priced accordingly (with offers)

Wow, I must of got lucky when selling mine. Not sure about the big engine thing. I sold mine and bought a Merc V8 in its place. Really enjoying too.

It turns out its all legit, paid me a deposit and coming with cash on Thursday.
He sources cars for clients in France, its cheaper to buy our cars even with transport costs on top.
