Default Water Ingress

Hi

has anyone any experiences with water coming into the left hand foot well - after torrential rain I could see water running down the bulkhead and creating a nice pond! Lifting bonnet there was a mass of leaves around the heater intake and the drain at the bottom of the nearside wiper - it's all now clear and I am hoping the dripping is the residue of the spillage. Has anyone had this and are there any drains hiding under the wiper/heater trims I should be aware of?

On a positive note the beast sailed through its MOT last week so another 54 weeks worth

Look at this PDF, it shows the cowl removed on a LH drive car, there are three drains and if the one by the heater air intake is blocked water rises and enters the intake. This water can ruin the blower fan and end up as a pool on the car floor.
Clear all three drains, one at each end and one in the middle. The end ones drain under the fenders (wings) and the center (centre) LOL in the middle of the firewall through a rubber hose.

Thanks for that had a look at left side drain (which is side water coming in) and yes it's blocked - I think that combined with the centre drain being block was more than enough to cause issue - I had cleared centre and checked by pouring water in - had a probe into left side drain and cleared again water tested - will lift trim if it ever stops raining and clear out - doubt if it's ever been done. have left bucket inside just in case and over mat is in boiler room drying out -
