Everything that has been and is being done by the committee, both past and present, is for the club's future success.
I have personally paid out over £1,000.00, half of which has been refunded thanks to the generosity of members when we have raffles and the sale of T shirts etc.
I have great pride and enjoyment being a member of the club and I will do whatever needs to be done to continue its success through commitment and positive actions.
I am aware of how much it takes to start up run and grow a club like this I think the issue is more that no where on the UK Crossfire site does it give any details of who what or where the committee members are and posts on site are by UK Crossfires rather than people. If we wanted to help or contribute it would be nice to know with whom we are talking to rather than the faceless "committee"

Hi, thanks for this
Just to clarify - The UK Crossfire Group was not a Club. It did not have a committee, it was run by me alone as an enthusiast until it got too much for one person, when others kindly stepped in to help. Its not fair to say it had a "faceless Committee" when the organisers not only contactable, but in attendance at every meet they had organised. I can assure you that I do have an address. Contact has always been available via the Contact Us page in the website, but I can not believe that if you have anything to do with UK Crossfire Group, you don't know who the organiser is/was. May I ask, have you ever been to a meet? If I had realised some one wanted my home address I would have included it willingly along with all the blood sweat and tears lol. However - all that is now history.
A brand new Motor Club has been formally created. As a legal entity, its address will be shown on Membership Cards, Club Members Windscreen Disks, Membership Application Form, Club Rules, Club Newsletters. and on the website.
Cheers Steve (home address currently shown on latest newsletters)

Thanks for the clarification.

Now I have finally read the latest newsletter I note that you do give your details - gets confusing when some people posting on here say club when they mean group and also talk about committee.

Yes I have been to many Crossfire meetings the first just after buying the beast when a few people spoke to me but I couldn't now tell you who they were 2 years on. I was also at the 10 year event and beast was in a very prominent position but was just making up the numbers or so it seemed.

Incidentally clicking "contact us" on website doesn't go anywhere - for me anyway

The website is currently undergoing some big changes in the way it operates. This is part of the transition needed for it to operate as a Club website, including membership applications to be processed electronically and to allow members to have access to it with password etc. Its a big job doing this from scratch and can not be done overnight. This is one of the quiet back room jobs being done at this time. While we harp on in here about committees, clubs and memberships etc etc no one mentions the fact that the website (which is where every one finds us in the first place) has been set up from scratch, constantly worked on and hosted free of charge for some years now by one of our group. Hats Off To That Man!
