Default Good bye SRT 6

Hi All, I'm sad to report the demise of my beloved SRT6. Passed away screaming in atrocious weather in the central reservation of the M62 along with an Astra and a BMW Z4.
All parties walked away safely, if a little bruised.
The SRT6 has been officially written off, which is a bit hard to get used to. As is typical in the world of 'Murphy's Law' it had just been serviced with new tyres on the back and was running like a dream.
Since it is unlikely that I will be able to replace it, I have a few things that might be of interest to other Crossfire owners. I have a set of original Chrysler floor mats with the Chrysler logo on them, an SRT owners manual which ironically arrived from the states about two weeks before the accident. I also have a brand new spare key which has not been used. It has obviously been programmed to my car and I don't now if it can be transferred but it is there if anyone is interested. I intend to put all this on Ebay in a couple of weeks so if anyone is interested let me know.

Feel for you, at least you walked away!

That must make it less than 50 Coupes now surviving on UK roads. Like you say, the chance of replacing it is not very likely but you never know, one might come on the market.

What kind of damage? repairable? worth buying for spares?

Glad to hear you are OK, before the girl goes off to car heaven, did you have her VIN number added to this site's list?

What are the chances of buying the SRT rims off you? Minus the tyres

Sorry for your loss.

Hi, there seems to be some interest regarding the spare parts to the SRT6. As it has now been written off by the insurance company it has been passed by them to a breakers/auction yard. AS far as I know the location of the car is as follows -
· Copart, Acrey Fields, Woburn Road, Wootton, Bedfordshire, MK43 9EJ

The important thing is that you and the others were able to walk away from the accident. You can always find another car you like.

Hi Steve, the guy that has bought your SRT-6 will probably be getting in touch. His name is Tom, nice bloke! I believe he intends to put the car back on the road. He is collecting it on Monday.
