So after ages deciding what I fancied driving next id decided on a audi tt so I went on eBay looking for the right car, after a week of searching for V6 one at the right money I clicked on a suggested search and bought this

 

Pretty happy with my purchase, 72k and plenty of history and drives 99% perfect.

I'm from a sportscar background so this will be modified haha and starting with some more noise!! I've looked into the needswings kit but it's way overpriced so I've made my own.

Can't understand the air mass meter placement and it makes it difficult to make a smooth feed off the throttle body so I made my own air mass meter housing and moved it to the front on the engine bay.







All finished and running great, sounds incredible under load and defiantly pulls a lot stronger

 

After the noise I've made a few cosmetic changes as I'm not keen on the fake aluminium trim so I've had it colour coded, just the door handles to do!

That's it for now but I'm addicted to tinkering so no doubt there will be more to come.

Aren't you a bit concerned that the IAT will be seeing ( and telling the PTCM ) much cooler air at the front than what the temperature really is at the throttle body ( as MB intended ).
Probably not a concern after all, I know the C320 has the IAT/MAF sensor toward the front ( see the cut-out in your engine cover ), but I always thought that there was perhaps a different PTCM map to compensate for that on them.
What do I know ? Carry on like I said nothing and you will most likely be OK

 

I'm going to chuck the wideband on it next week to double check everything and maybe throw it on a Dyno if I get time

Like you said the c320 runs this setup and also LOTS of other Marques but yes it did cross my mind but like you say not really a worry
