Default Is it raining much over there?

My wifes friend is hiking in the Cotswold's and says it has rained every day so far, she is enjoying her trip though. Good food and good company.
She moves to the Lake district next, I told my wife if it is raining in the Cotswold's it will be teeming in the Lake District.

Just back from a week in the lakes, sadly we couldn't take the Crossfire as the girlfriend doesn't travel light and space is limited in the roadster, so I took my Jag which was a squeeze down some of the minor roads, I wished we had been able to take the Crossfire as the roads would have been perfect for some fun in it.

If they find themselves in Grasmere or nearby I recommend they try Tweedies bar, good food and they have 8 real ales on draught which you can buy in 1/3rd pint glasses which are perfect for sampling, we did the lot and thoroughly enjoyed them.

We also hired an electric motorboat for an hour on Coniston and travelled what they call the Campbell run which was great fun even at 5 knots.

We were lucky with the weather too, mainly dry while we were there.

My wifes friend returned from the UK yesterday and had a great time. The Cotswolds were wet but she did not worry about that, the second week was in Herriot country, not the lake District as I thought. The weather for the second week was perfect.
She loved it all and said she wished she could retire there, as she liked the village life, the friendly people and the pub atmosphere. I personally think she was in another country,............... just kidding. LOL

Sounds like she might have just wandered over the border to Scotland, then...!
