Hi Emily,

I've owned mine for about 6 months now and love it. Good choice.

There's a 24k miles black coupe on Ebay for £3k with no bids at the moment. It looks pretty, but has non-standard wheels and no mention of owners or service history. It needs tyres which can cost you from £400 - £900 potentially, so bear that in mind. My advice would be to ask loads of questions, go look at it before the auction ends and take someone with you if unsure what you are looking at. Good luck in your search.

Hi Emily, with your budget avoid anything later than a 55 plate or you'll be paying nigh on £500 tax a year. I keep thinking about upgrading but that is the real turn off. Suppose I'll just have to improve what I have. Good luck with your quest

Hey all

Just to let you all know i now have found a lovely crossfire that i have bought

its a 2006 56 reg with 63k miles on it (now 65k as i just love driving it!!) but is the silvery colour, which i think looks pretty smart to be honest!!

i streched my budget and bought the car for £4000 but it needed 2 rear tyres as they were both illegal (at a cost of £560!!) but now it runs really nice, there is one problem its got a rattly noise which my garage has said its a bearing in the alternator which i will get sorted soonish but not a job that needs doing straight away

I've also just bought a new registration number E12MLE which I'm just waiting on the DVLA to send me my new log book and tax disc then i can pop them on too

my tax is due in october and its a hefty £475 a year so now saving up for that! and also cos I'm only 22 my insurance is a bit high at the moment but I'm not too bothered about that cos i just love the car! and i work hard so i think i deserve a bit of fun

i would like to go to a few meets and stuff if anyone has any info on the meets? if there is any?

also I'm always looking at making my car better… I'm not mechanic minded so i normally buy the parts and give them to the local garage to do but has anyone got any ideas on how to make the car sound/look/drive even better than it already does?

thanks!

Emily
