Default Adverts all over the sites pages.

Am I wrong or have there been more ads added to the pages today?
I am fed up with this *****, they are OK down the side of the page, but in the middle of a post is f'ing crazy.
Maybe it's time to leave this site.

I have noticed the same thing. I get the header but in the middle of a post is a little extreme. It has been like that a week or more for me though.

I saw that when using my iPad last night, typically I am on a Window 10 computer using the new "Edge" browser. I wonder if it is a issue with 3rd party cookies/browser related. I used to use Internet Explorer 11 with Ad Block Plus and you see zero adds, and it really helps for some sites.
180, you are a iPad user, correct?

Advertising is a necessary evil and I would hate to see you to leave, because of it! I have never been asked for a dime to use this site; It's invaluable as are its contributors! But its not free to run,and advertising is how the administrators, keep it up and running. Annoying were the early days of AOL an pop-ads. Free to use, doesn't mean, free to operate! Just my thought.

I do not mind ads to the top, bottom and sides but ones popping up in the middle of posts are obnoxious.

iPad. No ads in center. I think it has to do with your allowing of third party cookies that was mentioned. You can turn it off in settings.

I'm on Windows 10 using Edge, I have no center or side ads, only top and bottom.

Both iPad, phone and PC. The PC was the problem.

The response sent back to me by the website owners after inquiring regarding this thread....

Gary
I looked into it and the ad team made some updates for logged out users but logged in users shouldn't see any of those ads except maybe top or bottom.

Firefox with AdBlock (or is it AdBLock plus - what ever they are giving away these days) and I can't say I ever see ads on my computer, just on my phone.

And I hate my phone anyway.....................

I am a big fan of adblock plus1 I use it on IE11 and it is a dream. Some sites detect it, and request or require it to allow their site to show ads, I am fine with that. They should ask and offer to show ads, if I don't want to see them and miss the site, that is up to me. I also use Edge browser which does show the ad at the top, but on this site it isn't bad.
