Can we possibly go back to the old marketplace setup? One thing i have definitely noticed is that the number of ads has gone WAY down. While I applaud the desire to modernize and structure things, people do not want to bother with the forms, and, IMHO, I think it is keeping many items from being posted up.

Going back is the one thing we are not able to do. Anecdotally, the last three weeks have been quieter than usual across all of our Communities. I think there is some seasonality and pandemic exhaustion hitting people right now.

I see. Then time, to close out the other marketplace forums, and lock them up, or better, delete them. There seems to be ads still popping up there, or being replied to, which are distracting from where you are driving the forum to.

I did note something I missed when turning the new one on, a few usergroups could still create new listings in the old forums, i have ensured that is disabled for everyone. We will disable replies in the old in about 90 days.

(This is only my opinion)
It’s really simple
If it takes to much time and is difficult to post stuff for sale members will just find somewhere else to post it and to find it for sale. Facebook, EBay....

Just leave it as is in its current state. I think the level of activity will speak for itself.

If it’s difficult or takes too much time we’ll source another outlet. If the goal is to reduce traffic and take more time, check that box, it would appear as though that objective has been met.

I don’t know about anyone else but I can’t stand waiting on the phone pressing 1 for that person or 2 for that department. I just continue to crush zero until I get through or I go elsewhere

I’m going to assume that the majority of the membership is male (I state this only as a point of relate) and I can’t remember that last time I was with a few car buds and said “I have way too much time on my hands. you know what would make my day, more steps to complete super simple tasks”
And having someone telling me it’s a better way to do it.

^^^^^^^^^^^ THIS! ^^^^^^^^^^^

Other platforms make this so much easier, and that's where traffic will drive. Sorry to say, but the new marketplace was a solution looking for a problem, where none existed.

I don’t like all categories lumped into one section. Did find the ‘browse by category’ box but it doesn’t work. I think the old set up was more effective.

Change for the sake of change is never a good idea, just ask Coca Cola. If going back is not an option, then lets go forward and modify the new marketplace to function like the old.

since the change I don't think i have looked at it more than 5 times , and no post, don't like it, wont use it do as your members request,,,
fix it.. and i agree with the people that need it changed and Robb you said I've taken some of the feedback that you all have shared with me and we will be making some changes, most importantly around defaulting to, or only displaying Crossfire in the model section. This is great feedback, please keep the ideas coming and we'll continue to adjust for you.

cheers,
robb thanks jim
