This guy created his own problem, this was not a issue with this site or it's server.

He "restarted it" and things cleared up.
He then posted, "I wonder what was wrong..." (insert rolling eyes icon here)

basically the issue is that we block any traffic from AWS at our network level, this members VPN is tunnelling traffic through AWS which is why they get the ASN error.

WHY is this done? Please explain why VPN is a threat? What is AWS?

Its a 50/50 chance every time I sign on whether I will need to turn off my VPN. Like zip439, I wonder why?

AWS is Amazon Web Services, their traffic is blocked because of the susceptibility to DDOS attacks from attackers routing through their services. It's not about your VPN directly.

Thank you for your reply! The AWS doesn't surprise me at all ; I have learned a lot about service providers over the past few weeks playing around with different accounts from various providers. Thinking the ground hog going back into his hole has the right idea; stay out of sight, dry, warm and secure.

Amazon retail side SUCKS. They have vendors that sell, get orders, and string you along without shipping items. The last time it happened on an order placed mid October last year, two days ago, their CSU agent helped me recover from an over 3 1/2 month open order that the vendor never fulfilled. Amazon should get their act together (seems with their servers as well?)...

Hi-jacked thread; Probably need to move this some where else. But I can't pass the opportunity to reply that I long ago closed my Amazon account. Duck Duck Go ( not Google) what you need or want to purchase or search ebay. There are many suppliers out there other than Amazon.

While their amazon webhosting sucks I couldnt live without amazon shopping

I save so much with the free shipping alone that it covers the prime account cost. Wife watches movies and tv shows off of it all the time too.

The generator I bought for the house would of cost a bunch to deliver but free shipping with prime. That thing weighed like 200 pounds or something.

Last but not least is the buyer protection part with scams being so rampant now. My parents were always the look for the best deal types. Id get something from prime "safely" they would find the better deal and it turn out to be a scam or ripoff site.

Oh one other thing I forgot. Since I buy 99% of my stuff from them I can go to order history and find something I bought last week or years ago and click reorder.

NOT a hijacked thread, if you noticed their WEBSITE is in the OP. Posts threaded down to amazon web hosted servers. Main subject amazon website, tributary on amazon webside operations by me, not a hijack. Original issue 'their coded website' was 'resolved?'. Decided to comment on the fact the website is run about the same as their vendors on their website. Kinda strange that since you called it a hijacked thread you noted your problems with your amazon experience while calling my post a hijack? Could you post be a hijack & 1/2 hijack? Peace-out! LMAO...

Why do you take every thing personal? This section of the forum is about THIS WEBSITE not Amazon and their website. It should be relocated to general when we got off the OPS problem with this website and VPN, That is the only reference I was making. I was not calling your post a hijack any more than mine. "Peace-out!
PS Mark , By all means delete every thing starting at post 10, Thanks!

It isn't personal, you made a comment about my post, I replied. 'Peace-out' was meant to mean it's all good, LOL was meant laughing, ie lets all laugh about it. IF you were offended, maybe you should have thought some before you hit 'Submit Reply'? Either way, it was not meant to hijack a thread, and it should not be you to monitor thread hijacking, maybe? If your feeling so strongly about it, maybe you should just 'report' threads from now on. I know someone seems to be offended a lot in the 'General' catagory...
