Question Tried updating Sig, would not take until I removed a character?

.

Tried to update mileage and date in sig BUT when finished with changing the info, the update would not take (until I removed a character located at 'autostick' vs 'autoshtick'). Has the amount of characters changed in the last few months (since last time I updated it)? Asking in case this may happen again. The format I had in the sig is the same since many years now (3 or 4 character months only).

I ran into this once. The issue was I had (like you do) a lot of embedded instructions in my sigline (I mean, like the [b] for bold and instructions to change font color) that somehow count (in one way or another) in the character count. I found it would let me have a longer sigline if I didn't make too many font color/bold/italic/size changes within the sigline.

Yes, I knew that, I was only changing the mile numbers, numerical day of month, & either a three or four character month (June vs May, or Sept withut a period). No changing of or adding any special characters or colors. What you mentioned was pretty much how it has been working since almost forever (way back it shuffled some with a reduction of characters, 10 plus years or so ago if I guess right). It was this time that somehow a character dropped as I mentioned. Maybe it'll pop back in, if it does that's OK as well I reduced my sig by one character by correctly spelling autostick (the shtick was from the older days where the comedians did 'shtick' routines).
