.jpg/post removed?

I thought when a post was removed or a part of the post (picture removed), the member is sent an email? I cannot find a post I made recently with a .jpg (in General forum) more specifically I believe the 'Post Something Random' tree, that I cannot find now. Was that post/.jpg removed? If so, not only is the email missing, but why? Please contact me. GraphiteGhost
