Nashville to Kansas City to Oklahoma City to Palms Springs CA.
On Dec 1 I go on vacation and will be driving from Nashville Tn to Kansas City KS.
Then the next week, depending on energy and motivation, I'll be driving from Kansas City to Palm Springs.
To or from Kansas City/PalmSprings, I may make a short 1 day or .5 day stop in Yukon Oklahoma, which is just 30min drive from Oklahoma City.
I would be fun to meet up with some of you for a quick meal/coffee. I'm sure I'll need the coffee.
I have not layed out a real itenerary so I can't give any dates or times until a day or two before I'm in any given area.

If you happen to go through SW colorado give us a shout. The other half and I would be up for some friendly converstation. Montrose, Telluride, Grand Junction, etc. Work too many hours, but if you give some lead time we'll do our best. Safe travels. Careful on this end, its finally started to snow out here.

Sounds good.
If I decide to head out to California it will be around Dec 6th-8th. I'll have to be back in TN by the 13th so I can be rested up for work on the 15th.
I'm not sure if I'll take I-70 through Denver or dip down south onto I-40. Weather tends to be better on I-40 this time of year.

You're right about the weather on I-70 vs. I-40, though I-70 through Western Colorado and Utah is definitely a spectacular scenery ride. The I-40 trip is probably easier this time of year and there are some nice views their too. You'll definitely burn less gas on I-40. If it starts snowing on I-70, you may need chains or have to go real slow.
If you want to spend more time in Palm Springs, I'd go I-40. If you have the time to enjoy the ride, I'd go I-70.
