That's two votes for an August meet, anyone else have a preference?

Thumbs up Re: SF bay area Crossfire Meet!

Right now any August weekend would work for me. Suggest "we" pick a date and one alternate and get the word out. Place?
I live in Martinez. Wife & I will travel anywhere for good food & wine!

[Weird - I thought I already posted a response here, but my post is nowhere to be found...]

I'm available any weekend in August, and maybe a few in July. That's as of now, of course. The company I work for owns my travel schedule.

I'd vote for San Mateo as a central area for most of us. Even better (from my South Bay perspective) would be Half Moon Bay. Just took the roadster for a cruise up Hwy 1. from Santa Cruz to HMB. Haven't done that in years.

Why don't we make it August 23 (Saturday) at the same Denny's restaurant since they have a big parking lot? Perhaps we can all drive down to Half Mood Bay after breakfast and either head north to The Cliffhouse or head south to Santa Cruz. Nice easy drive either way and should present a lot of photo opportunities.
Is the date good for everyone?

We can make the 23rd of Aug. Understand probable initial meeting site to be Denny's on S. Norfolk in San Mateo. Time to meet?
Run out to Rt. 1 and either North or South from there both nice runs - weather cooperating.
Road into Ritz Carlton (Half Moon Bay) has a couple of straight stretches where the Pacific can serve as backdrop for pictures. (my "nickel opinion"!)

It seems 9am is a good time for most members judging from the responses from the last meet. So, is August 23, 2008 at Denny's restaurant in San Mateo 9am good for everyone?

I've got an autocross scheduled for that day in my town,
hard to turn down a local event when I have to travel at least an hour for most others. Also hard to walk away from a race. Put me down as being a "maybe".

Please put me down as a "probable" attendee as this sounds like a lot of fun. I've been led to believe my limited roadster might be the only one in Calaveras County (California) so I really haven't had much opportunity to meet many other owners in the year that I've I had mine. I guess it's nice being somewhat unique but I'm looking forward to actually meeting some other Crossfire afficianados and hopefully sharing some of their vast knowledge of the car. I look ahead to meeting a lot of you folks on August 23.

Sorry guys, I may not able to join you guys since I'll be moving my house during that time. But I'm still staying in San Mateo so I'm still around for the future meetings.

Is it cool for a future SRT roadster owner to show up ? Would be great to see what I'm getting myself into

Thanks,
Brian

Once you get it you'll be glad you did. I spent two weeks deciding between coupe and roadster - can't believe how much I've enjoyed the roadster. Have you found a car yet?

I have a couple I'm looking into, hopefully soon I'll strike a deal.

I've already ordered the Needwings CIA, C3P SC pulley and phenolic spacers

I don't know if there is one or not, I'm not familiar with Cars & Coffee maybe someone else can answer your question. Are you still planning to drive up from southern California? You're more than welcome to join us.
