Question Looking for some advice from a person in AZ

Hey, I'm hoping someone here is from the Phoenix AZ area. A buddy and myself have put together about 70K and are thinking about buying a property(House) in Phoenix.

My Question is, what areas should I be looking in? Normally we want the best deal possible but we recognize that with 70K we are not gonna get a mansion. We have been hearing that this is the place to buy since prices have droped like rocks... or so they say!

any help is amazing!!

Boy, that is a tough question. What are you looking for?? An older community? College town, Tempe? For that price you would still have to buy in outskirts. You could buy an okay place to $70K. Do you have a job lined up. Commutes can be extensive. Everyone is going to have an opinion. I can hook you up with a realitor that is a personal freind, if you want?? Numerous foreclosures.. Many people spectulated on market and lost.

Sorry I didn't see this before. I'm a realtor in AZ. I specialize in great deals. I just sold a 3/2 1200 sq.ft. home for $75k, and another for $60k. It all depends on area, and whether your looking for an investment or primary residence. I'll send you a pm with my email. Both sides of the valley have awesome deals, the central locations are still great deals but not as cheap. Plus for primary resident buyers you get $8000 back from Obama. Most can amend their taxes and get it within 4-6 weeks after closing.
