New to Arizona (Phoenix area)
I am moving to Arizona at x-mas and was wondering about any clubs for x-fires. I would like to know of any shops who work on the x-fire and any get together's starting in January. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Welcome!
To both of you, I always bring my car to Vividracing, since chrysler does not touch my car anymore.
They may be pricey in certain areas, but their gurantee their work. Been with them now for 2 years and they did nearly all the mods.
If you need more info, I'd be glad to assist

I've posted elsewhere on here about needing a rear brake job. I am not brave enough to tackle it myself.
Have you done it yourself? Would you suggest Vivid for such an operation or would that be pricey with them?

Well the easiest thing is if you buy the parts yourself (like the Akebono brake parts from tirerack.com, which come with the brake sensors) and bring them to Vivid. Because otherwise they will give you super expenisve rotors etc that you dont really need.
Yes, I always do the simple brake work myself.
My conclusion is, for simple things as brake jobs, dont bring it Vivid cause the car will be gone for a long time etc.
Did you try superstition springs yet?
Really, the easiest way is to order the parts yourself, from lets say tirerack.com and then do it yourself.
I would love to help you doing this, but I am leaving in 10 days and have ASU finals for till next tuesday.......

I was leaning toward buying online and taking the XF and parts in somewhere, anyway. Sounds good. Just a matter of making sure I have EVERYTHING before I take her in, or, DIY.
I'm in Glendale, and if at all possible, want to stay Central/West side for service, so no, haven't tried Superstition Springs...
Bill Luke's assessment read, "Replace rear brake pads and resurface rotors (3MM or Less)." I haven't had any rear brake noise or problem stopping, so I have no idea how long I can go before I really do some damage.
Thanks for volunteering, despite your crazy sched. I might have to bite the bullet on this one!

I am surprised that there are no crossfire clubs out here. Maybe we should think about forming one. I tried to email a Mopar club here and got the email returned? I can not wait to meet you all and look forward to seeing you at the shows.
Although I'm an Arizona resident, I've been on the road since 2002. In March (or maybe June) the last project is complete and I'm coming home to Munds Park (although the kids live in Phoenix and I spend a lot of time there). If anything is going on during the holidays 12/19 - 12/30, I'm spending Christmas with the kids and would love to meet some other Forum members.

We did have a great group of Phoenix people getting together a couple times a year. We would have some great hookups. Things have quieted down in the last year and a half. The majority are on crossfirecommunity.net. We would have 12 to 15 xfires average on our hook ups. They're there. Just need a little revitalization. You can go to my gallery on other site. Great pics of our hookups.

Schedule willing, I'd be up for a meet up 12/19 through 12/30.
I'll haunt the forum and see what materializes.
Going to check out crossfirecommunity.net right now...
Thanks, all!

I'm driving in from Indiana (not in the X'fire) and that usually takes 3 days each way. So I'll be there on the 19th and leaving again on the 31st. I stay with my daughter on the north side of Phoenix, but can get to anyplace in the area. Since I won't have the crossfire, I suggest coffee, breakfast or drinks at any one of the local establishments. We used to breakfast on Sunday mornings at Bitz-ee Mama's in Glendale, but one of you may have a better suggestion. The only Sunday open (for me) is 12/26/10 (day after Christmas). Other suggestions/recommendations??????

dude my couz is from arizona. he said that there are reputable Arizona auto repair shops near phoenix who can help you out. hope this can help you dude. Goodluck on your new area
Hopefully we can get a number of you to attend the Crossfires Across America that is being held in Colorado this year. Besides my love for CO, the idea of having it there was to draw in the various owners from the Western areas.
