Limited Wheels on SRT-6
Limited Wheels on SRT-6
Sorry if this has been beaten to death, but I am the proud new owner of a new SRT-6. I plan on Autocrossing the car and wanted to check to see if the Crossfire Limited wheels were the same size as the SRT-6 and if not, would they still fit on the SRT-6 with no problems? I will probably pull the wheels off this weekend to see what dimensions are stamped on the back of them, but thought you might know off the top of your head.
Thank you,
Michael

Re: Limited Wheels on SRT-6
Just curious, does anyone know if there is a problem with clearance on the front or back or both? I'm trying to get some rims for autocrossing, but might be able to use just front rims if they fit and are the same size as the SRT rims. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Michael

Actually, 18" limited rims clear the SRT's front brakes fine.
I run a set of four 18" seven spoke OEM Ronals on my SRT with Blizzak's and it has no clearance problem.
Also, see here for pictures on an SRT-6 sporting a full set (18's and 19's) of OEM Ronal seven spokers.

No you're not missing anything. I think some were worried that the bigger calipers on the SRTs would not fit inside the limited rims....that is not the case - they fit. The fronts are close, but they clear. I do recall that the SRT rims weigh less though, not a lot but some - just another difference (and they are a whole lot easier to clean!)
Re: Limited Wheels on SRT-6
I have been using these wheels on my 2005 srt-6 with no issues unitl a cone ate some of the inner wheel well paneling, using hooser slicks because of the 19" rear wheels. Enjoy, p. s. pulling off the resonater on the exhaust is way cool and works well, nice sound and lots of stares at the stainless 4" dual pipes, WOODY
