I want to put 18x8.5 front and 19x9.5 rear rims. I am wondering if you guys know what is the minimum offset required for them to fit without spacer?

Here is the size and offset I have now.

18x8.0 Nogaro Silver 5x112 Bolt pattern 35mm offset.
19x9.5 Nogaro Silver 5x112 Bolt pattern 35mm offset.

Not sure if you will be able to squeeze a 8.5 wide rim on the front.

You can't without it rubbing. I know I tried.

 

Agreed, the 8.5" front rubs a few places, most importantly at the bolt for the A frame, which will immediately cut into your tires the minute you drive it off the lift... You'll need 10mm spacer on the front wheels.

 

Thanks you guys for the quick response. So spacer will be needed. Do you guys see any handling issue or ride issue with using spacer?

 

In my humble opinion, if this is a street car only, you will be OK running aluminum spacers up to 20mm on the rear and 12mm on the front. You will have much better turning response and better traction... If you plan on running the car on the track (road racing), please do not use "off the shelf" spacers unless you consult with a reputable racing shop because the longer bolts needed to attach the wheels to the hub with the spacers are not are robust...

 

Can we avoid using spacer by increasing the offset?

Front:
225/40/18 Michelin PS Cup Competition Tires, mounted on 18/8.5, 5-112, 37mm offset, Milano M708 lightweight forged wheels with MB center caps, match balanced.

Rear:
265/30/19 Michelin PS Cup Competition Tires, mounted on 19/9.5, 5-112, 37mm offset Milano M708 lightweight forged wheels with MB center caps, match balanced, 15mm forged spacers.

Do they rub for you?

 

Do the spacers make the wheels stick out past the fenders? I wanna get some new wheels but don't want my car to look like this meximobile down the street with the tires sticking out 5 inches past the fenders.

 

spacers just push the wheel closer to the upper wheel well lip... but not past it... that wouldn't look so good.

my car has them... see pic below.
