Default Will this fit?

If I put 17X10.5" on the back will 1.00" spacers be sufficient? Also 17X5 on the front with what spacer?

Will 16" rims fit or will they not clear the brakes?

What offset are you looking at? If you stay around 32-35mm offset you would be getting into to range that could be fine tuned with spacers. At only five inch wide in the front that is a non issue. Are you setting this car up for drag racing? They spacers will be for the rears depending on offset and maybe the front if you cannot get the center caps on.

Yea this is for drag racing. I'm actually getting adapters to use my old CCW corvette rims, the spacers are at a minimum of 1" though.

I've got 17's now, but there are lots of 16X10.5" sets for sale, just not sure if they'll fit.

You will need to know the offset and then you can use this website to check fit. I used this site to figure my wheels and tires and it worked out perfectly.

Good luck at the strip. I spent a lot of time drag racing in Southern CA during the 1970's.
