Default Pirelli P Zero Tires

Has anyone put Pirelli P Zero's on their Crossfire? If so, what do you think about them?

What about the P Zero's compared to your previous (stock OEM) tires?

No good for me in this neck of the woods, put on A/S pilots and they are running good (with the 4 wheel alignment!). I will be in Old Town tomorrow (14:00), if you want to give an other forum member a spin, we depart on Norwegian Lines for a trans Panama trip @ midnight on tuesday. Staying at the Comfort Inn, Airport/Old town.

Welcome to San Diego. Lucky guy, sounds like a great cruise. Wish I had the time to get together, Old Town is terrific. I received several calls on the weekend for work this week. Beautiful weather right now. Hit around 80 yesterday - blue skies, really nice out.

I bought a set of P Zero's for the rear tires and they were completely chewed through after only 16,000 miles. I would not recommend them.

Outside of the quick wear, how'd you like them? Good traction? Good ride? What did you replace them with?

If you happen to live somewhere that is warm and sunny, the P Zeros will offer you excellent traction and a smooth ride. If you live somewhere that snows, your Crossfire will become a sled. Granted, most rear wheel drive vehicles aren't designed for snowy climates, but I was horrified at how poorly the P Zeros handled in winter (to the point where I couldn't even get enough traction to get out of my driveway). I replaced them with Michelins, mostly because that's what Town Fair Tire had in stock, and I had read favorable reviews on this site.

Since replacing the Pirellis with Michelins, I brought my car in for a $500 alignment, which will hopefully increase the life of my Michelins. My car was a bit out of alignment, but I'd still be very hesitant to buy another set of Pirellis, mostly because I expect a little more than 16,000 miles out of a $350 tire.
