Default Pirelli Snows

So Iget stuck going home today and decide I NEED snow tires. TireRack.com recommended Pirelli Winter 240 Sottozero XL tires. Anybody use them?

I have Dunlop Winter Sport M3 and I love them. No fear of being caught or driving in snow.

They come in stick sizes but the fronts seem to sell out very quickly.

I had the Dunlops on my Mustangs really liked them. Probably should have gotten them...

Bridgestone Blizzaks aren't the cheapest, but they are arguably the best snow tires. Something to do with the foam-like treads and siping.
In my opinion, the Blizzaks are the best tire for winter driving on RWD cars.

i don't think tire rack has any winter tire avaliable for us at this time.. I have contacted them and they did not offer me anything.. they said the blizzaks and dunlops which they both carry are out of stock indefinatly.. and the pirellis were not even mentioned..

Instead I ordered Goodyear Eagle Max Performance Summer for this winter...

I didn't get anywhere on the web site so I called. The Pirellis were the only option. I had Blizzaks on my Mustang after the Dunlops - I actually liked the Dunlops better, but any tire in that class is a going to do pretty good.

just put on a set of Michelin pilot sport a/s . so far so good

put goodyear eagle f1 A/S on and they run great. had about 5in of snow yesterday and drove around to some stores.Also drove to work last night and had no problems.( besides the donuts i did at work LOL

I agree......12 inches here... Last year with the Conti's, I'd be stuck at the end of my driveway......this morning I just plowed a path for all my other neighbors to get out!

Granted....Traction control was off and the rear tires were spinning away!

Well, I got them and so far so good. They are a bit "mushier than the Yokahama's, but I expected that. If they keep me on the road, I'll be happy. The ASA wheels actually look pretty good, considering they only cost $123 each...
