Default NHT Brake Calipers?

Has anyone ever heard of NHT Brake Calipers? Are they any good or are they just for show? I am sort of on a budget.

I have used NHT calipers on a honda before I can't remember where i bought them, but to answer your question NHT calipers are remanufactured calipers that are powder coated, I wasn't aware of this when i bought them but am now, nevertheless they look nice perform just like the stock calipers, but they are not a performance caliper.

hope that helps,
Roger

I am not really going to race the car you know. I am more into looks. I just want something that looks good and is safe and dependable. Thanks, I might look into buying them. i like the way the red and yellow ones look inside the rims.

You'll need to remove your calipers to install those -- and then bleed the brakes.

For a lot less money - once you remove yours, you could either paint them yourself or break them down and have them powder coated. You could even paint them in place (without wrenching) - lots of members here have done that and they look nice!!

I painted mine for around $30 with two cans of Duplicolor High Heat Ceramic paint.

I like the way they look painted. I might just do that for now. Does it have to be the high temp paint or regular? Thanks

Yes, the brakes can get pretty hot.

For simple brush-on paint, Just remove the wheels, mask and use this type of product:
http://www.duplicolor.com/products/caliper.html

Here is a two part brush-on expoxy paint that may be more durable - but have all four calipers ready before before mixing the paint and the hardner
http://g2usa.com/brake_caliper_paint.shtml

You can't go wrong with red IMO

I used this paint because and it was a better match with the Aero Blue

http://www.duplicolor.com/products/engine.html - DH 1612 High Heat Blue

You can buy the brush-on kits at most auto parts stores for around $30

Hope this helps

Hey BORICAN,

Why not just paint the calipers on your car like I did on mine? It is pretty easy to do and doesn't cost much.

You can buy a paint kit (red, black, silver, yellow) for around $20.00. You can even get the Crossfire script and put on the calipers after painting them. Check my gallery photos to see how it looks if you didn't notice last Saturday.

I used the Dupli-Color Caliper Paint as suggested in the post above. It works well.

I saw it, but I didn't know they were the OEM calipers. They look good. Where did you you get the script from? I might jump on them Saturday.

I ordered the "decals" for the calipers. The manufacturer (XenonMods.com) sends three decals for the front and three for the rear, sized to fit on the calipers. The front caliper is larger than the rear. Here is the link to the company that I ordered from -

I believe you have to order the Custom Caliper Decals to get the Crossfire decal. You can pick about any color you want. I paid about $9.00 + shipping.

I'll bet a local Auto Zone or O'Reilly's auto parts would have the Dupli-Color Caliper paint kit.
