don't do it, air rides are teribble for a sports car, and your car would handle like crap.

lol, I love the look. I am ever afraid, however, about scraping the car on the ground.

From what I hear from Jason, you can barely tell that it has the air ride as far as handling and comfort is concerned. But he did use the auto pilot kit. and RE5 bags. This is definately not something you can build from extra air ride parts from a truck. Any other bag requires alot of cutting and sacrifices alot of ride quality. The RE5 allows you to keep your stock springs in place. I'm getting ready to do mine, so I'll let you know for sure.

I believe you misunderstood. An re5 is a slam spec bag. There is no way to keep a stock spring and use a bag to lower thid vehicle..the re5 replaces the stock spring along with the cups jason would make for you. Having had several bagged vehicles I would question that the ride is the same as factory. It would only be as good when the psi in the bag gives you an equal spring rate to the stock spring rate, and even then I would doubt the xf would handle as well from my experience but it may be comparable.

Here is Jason's thread after he installed his air ride. he also kept the factory sway bars that normally are removed as well. Jason is not going to be manufacturing cups or anything for the xfire. I'm gonna have to build my own. ut I understand where you're coming from. Every vehicle I've bagged I have had to remove the current springs, I'm kinda curious how my install pans out too.
