Default Adjustable shocks needed

just wondering who makes the best adjustable shocks for money spent?

I need to buy a set of adjstable shocks, cause the suspension on the base car is too sloppy for me.

I've always heard RAVE reviews on Koni shocks... Pricey but worth it.

I had them on my auto-x truck and loved them

Do you need single or double adjustable shocks?

I priced double adjustable shocks from Koni and they were about $500 a leg.

I will likely have my Koni's for sale after nationals at the end of September (assuming I can't sell the car as a full autox package).

They started life as off-the-shelf singles, but were sent back to Koni to be rebuilt/revalved over the winter...now they're stiffer than OTS (but still only rebound adjustable).

Well, you asked for the best...mine are likely about as good as you'll do without going the $$$ route as sonoros described.

Not sure what off camber turns would have to do with it.

I figure the more expensive shocks have adjustments for rebound travel, how do the Konis work? are they only one direction?

The adjustment is not for rebound travel, but for rebound damping. Compression damping remains constant. Some other single adjustable shocks adjust compression and rebound damping simultaneously. Doubles let you adjust each independently.
