275/40/19?
It starting to look like I may go with the Goodyear F1 all seasons. Stock size in the front, but I wanted a little more tire sidewall in the rear. 255/40/19 is what I like but that tire does not come size. The next closest 40 series is a 275/40/19 for the rear. Will it fit under the car? Will it fit on the rim and look good or too big?

I know this does not exactly answer your question here but it is a neat tool to compare wheels and tire sizes etc.

James, Have you considered a different brand of tire? Falken makes a 275/35/19 and looking at the specs. are about a 1/2" taller and 3/4" wider. Thinking this would be my first choice when I need new shoes?
Bill,
Bill,
Hi All
Go for the 275s ,but keep the profile the same as standard , They fit better than the 255s & match with the rim/tire fit at the front , Have a look in my gallery i have a few pictures
. Also they look soooo much wider than the 255s ,
Cheers

Bill,
Bill,
I think there are some pics in my gallery.
The "Standard" section of my '07's sticker says 225s front & rear ...."Option" section says $185 ASP 225 front 255 rear........any of these cars actually come stock with 225s on both the front & rear?
its official - 275/40/19 is too tall of a tire. I tried shoe-horning a pair of 275/40 pirellis onto the car today, instant fender rub. Max I'd recommend is 275/35/19. Honestly, I think I'm going to throw on some Nexen n3000s 275/30/19. Cheap and great performance from what I've heard
