Default New 18" Rims for Rear & Front

Hi,

I found some nice rims, which would fit the crossfire. But they'd be all in 18", so I would have to put 18" tims in rear instead of 19.

I know that's possible, but does anybody have experiences with that?

I mean I'm worried about getting a worst acceleration or something.

Actually with 18" rims you should have a faster acceleration since it's lighter, or not?

Thanks in advance.

All I can tell you is there may be a number of posts regarding this if you want to search. I've been looking into similar ideas, but you'll have to make sure the tires are staggered, at least that is my understanding.

This may not be the best place to buy tires from, but they do have a tire calculator which will do the math easy enough for you. You plug in the original and then the target size you are looking for. I'm still very much a rookie when it comes to this, but you'll have to look into spacers etc. (something like that).

Good luck

Thanks for the response. I can keep the stock tires (PS2), they'd fit the new rims. I just have to get the same 2 front tires for rear.

255-40-18 rear = 26.03 new size if you want 18 on rear
255-35-19 rear = 26.03 old size you are running on rear
SEE CHART 18 vs.19 Hope this helps WWW.Riverviewtire.com/Tireheightchart.html
