Question rear rotors shot

I just took my '07 X-fire in to service yesterday because of some squealing from the rear wheels.
I have 22,xxx miles on it, all of which I have put on myself.
The tech who looked at it said that all of my pad, front and rear, look brand new. The same with the front rotors. However that rear rotors are shot. Since the majority of braking is done with the front, I find it strange that the rear rotors need to be replaced. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I am attempting to argue that the rear rotors are defective and any support on this issue would be helpful.

Kell, shot how? Warped? Worn below tolerance? If the pads are barely worn, I can't imagine how they could have worn the rotors. And you're right, the rear should be the last to go. Truly not the norm.

I just talked to the tech who inspected them and he said that the rotors are warped and grooved. If he trys to turn them there won't be enough rotor left to put back on.

Definitely have them check the calipers if replacing the rotors, or you may be going through this again.

That handle-looking thingy in the middle of the console? Push in the button on the end and push DOWN.

Just kidding!

I would definetly ask to see the worn parts, cause summin just don't sound right !!! Why are the rotors warped and grooved if the pads are still in good shape ? But if this is the case then definetly check the calipers ! But it really sounds fishey !!!
