Default Slicks (DRs) and Skinnies

Here's a few pics of my new setup............there will be some changes in the future as I have already found better rims. 112.5mm(4 1/2'')M&H skinnies up front with 315mm(12 1/2'') wide Hoosiers bringing up the rear. I'm taking her out to the track tomorrow for a little testing. I've already driven around town with them on and you should see the LOOKS I get from people. LOL

His area is what is keeping him from being faster. Just like Cruzin. Things start slowing down at Dallas heading west. That desert air hurts these cars~

I guess the old Doc here should have bought a hard top, I keep getting turned away, or have to put in a roll cage...in order to race, both round track and drag...sucks...maybe have to look for a hard top....great set up....can't wait to hear your times...

Well, I finally got a chance to take her out and test out the new goodies(Dash daq datalogger, skinnies and torque converter) today under near perfect...........for Las vegas.........conditions. I made a few passes, was disgusted and when home. The best pass was a 12.40@112.46 with a 1.83 60' launching at 2300rpms. After looking at my logs when I got home I discovered that the car hit a PEAK of 15lbs of boost and most of the run was at 11-12lbs with the AFRs ranging from 12.4 midrange to 11.8 from about 5000 to redline. I don't know WHY my car is boosting like stock when I have a LET 185pulley setup on the car. I did throw a cylinder 6 misfire code a while back(just cleared it) and it never came back again............maybe it's time to pull the plugs and see what's going on.

Here's a recap of the results as of now..........

185pullies, inmotion tune, sl55 intake, drs
12.35@113 with 1.85 60' 17.5lbs of boost peak 3000DA

185pullies, inmotion tune, sl55 intake, drs, skinnies, custom TC and tranny cooler
12.40@112 with 1.83 60' 15lbs of boost peak 2100DA

I don't know if there's something wrong with my car, engine, tc, boost leak, etc and will have to just figure out what the hell is holding me back now.

I've replied and erased my words twice. WTF! AFR looks good. Could somehow someway something gotten pinched or damaged pulling the trans? Even if the motor was hurt, would that affect the boost? The wheel diameters don't look too far off from stock so that shouldn't freak out the electronics? What pulls boost .... heat, knock, is you gas good? Bad batch perhaps? Dang it all, I don't know. If it helps, the wheel combination is pure gold. Hot, hot and hotness. Let us know when you figure it out.

Voxx Something(can't remember model name) 17x9 with a 40 offset(I believe) and running a 15mm spacer. Tires are Hoosier 315/35 17 DRs and BARELY rub the sound deadener on the inner wheel well if I bottom out the suspension.

I got many many looks and people coming up and asking about the car at the track. The linesman even tried to kick me out when I was lining up because "this guy is running 35mph emergency tires" to which I responded with "look at the damn tires". He then apologized and I made my pass.

Sorry to hear the bad news. Hope you get it figured out. Where did you get the front runners and how much do they weigh/cost?

Front rims are M-B 17x4's off of 211 E Class...............tires are M&H 26x4.5 17''. My cost is nowhere near what everybody elses would/will be so I won't bother mentioning it. Those rims weigh a portly 20lbs and the tires are 12lbs.............new rims are slightly lighter(by 2.5lbs).

I don't if it's any lighter or what the exact width is but this one for the SL550 looks pretty nice.
