brakes!!!
I had just replaced my pads and rotors about a month ago, kevlar pads. and I drive allot on the highway at eccesive speeds then some times brake hard if needed, but these damm brakes are squieling loudly and in city traffic it does the same! whats up with these brakes??? any thoughts
The noise could be from the make of your brakes, and the compound. If the they are more hi-performance targeted brakes they will be louder until they are used harder and warmed up. Typically not comfortable to listen to as a daily driver. If they are standard brakes then were they broken in properly? I know that rotors can accumulate a "glazing" over them that will create a excessive noise.
I went through a brake issue with my last car doing the same. If the noise continues maybe you could take a minor abrasive pad or paper and "swirl" the rotor and lightly sand it evenly to remove any "glaze"
This is all the information I have collected through my braking frustrations!
I just recently bought my crossfire and the brakes look fine, but I will be replacing the pads and rotors when it gets warmer out!! The brakes create way to much break dust! I can wash my car and not a week later my front rims are gray/black. I do not think I brake that hard! haha
Agreed noisy breaks are annoying!

I am not too familiar with kevlar pads but know people who use them and I have never heard of any squealing. One thing you can do is apply brake pad grease to the back side of the pad, not the friction side. You can buy this in packets at any parts store. Do they squeal all the time? I have ceramic pads and they have squealed ocationally if there is any rust on the rotors. I get squealing sometimes when I back out of the driveway after washing my car.
I was just wondering....I need to replace the brake pads (so says the dummy light on the dash) on my 'O4 Coupe. Is there any special tools/techniques I should be armed with before tackling this lil project? Thanks!
Any input would be much apreciated!
