Has anyone use covers instead of painting them?

I ordered a set of caliper covers from MPG (CaliperCovers.com) for my 2006 F150. Anxious to see how these end up looking once installed. May consider getting a set for the Crossfire since their website shows specific P/N's for XFires (NA & SRT).

Caliper covers should arrive mid next week. I'll post pictures after I get them installed.

There was a thread sometime ago about caliper covers. The advertisement claimed they allowed the calipers to cool better. I think the consensus of thread was that they would hold more heat to the caliper than remove. Just something to think about if you run your car hard occasionally.

Yeh - I remember this thread but didn't find it on a search. Went back & looked at the website again and didn't see anything on reducing caliper temperature. But there is a statement that the covers reduce brake dust which keeps rims cleaner for extended periods.

Now I don't see how adding these covers would reduce the generation of brake dust. But they would act as a shield to keep brake dust from appearing on the rims. And this is what I believe the firm really meant to say.

Anyway, thanks for the feedback.
