Default Blizzak LM-25s

I know, I know, it is August, why would I bring up snow tires???

To try and save any of you who do not have garage queens some coin.

At the beginning of the week I went onto tirerack.com and was poking around for winter combinations (I like to be prepared early). To my pleasent surprise they had a VERY significant discount on some nice blizzaks. I got the set for under $800 shipped. Just thought I would share, they are discontinued becuase of the new line coming, not sure if any are still available, but worth a look.....

Thanks Boiler, I ordered a set in Sept. now it's time to put them on. My first experience driving XF in snow was yesterday, suprisingly it did well, with the Blizzaks it should be O-K.

First time in the snow with new Blizzaks yesterday! About 5" heavy Colorado snow. Had the switch on W and used a very light foot ... no problem in fresh and packed snow around town, car feels heavy, solid and surefooted. Really like the Blizzaks!

Thanks for the update, I still have not put mine on yet (I am in Indiana and I still have a few weeks before I make the jump) and am glad someone is able to back up what I have always heard about these great tires....

I've already got mine on as well... Just because it was just a bit too cold for the summer tires. It still isn't quite cold enough for winter tires, so I'll let you know they go once it turns cold. Right now, they are a bit soft (above 40F outside) so I can light them up pretty easily...but then again, I could light any tire up pretty easily if I try...
