If I buy a Merc spare tire...
You might have to do a little investigating-the inside diameter has to clear the calipers AND the outside diameter of the tire must be very close to the size of the tires in the rear, so as to not cause damage to the diff.
Pretty tall order!

Sounds like I oughta have a chat with my tire guy then
or, maybe just buy a stock sized front that could be used on either end.

You can use a 17'' spare from any 210 or 211 body E-Class or a 219 CLS.............they will definately fit on a Crossfire. Those are what I use to run my skinnies on my 6.

Great to have a spare in the "trunk". However it is going to take up most of it if not all. Don't forget you will have to put the original back in there when you change to the spare. Will that fit?
It will fit in the back at an angle or the passenger seat. I did a trial run to see if I could get 4 en the car and the most that will fit is 3 with the hatch partially open. And tires are DIRTY!
