Default Rim crack

After consistently loosing air pressure over the past week I brought my Crossfire into a tire dealer. He showwed me a crack in the inboard side of the left rear rim directly across from the valve stem.

Car has 58K miles on it. Has anyone else found problems with these $602 wheels?

600.00 IS HIGHWAY ROBBERY PLAIN AND SIMPLE
Only problems I have really heard about is curb rash or a bad pot hole could probably crack one ,,,Good luck ..Ebay or maybe someone here on the forum could help you out with a wheel for a whole lot less....

edit :
But you probably already knew that..... 1600 post

$602? where did you get that price from, the dealer? The price I was quoted (dealer) was $550, hence my "Got new wheels" thread.
Yeah, you can get "pre-owned" rims on ebay for around $200.
Seriosly tough. That sucks to hear.

I would have actually thought a senior member of this site would understand the "search" button......but I suppose you don't need it on the political part of the forum.

I replaced all 4 wheels about a month ago......all of them were cracked.

https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...ked-uh-oh.html

I paid NOWHERE NEAR $600.00 PER WHEEL though!!!!!!!!!!!

Michigan roads.

There's a big sign on I-75 welcoming you to Michigan when you cross over from Ohio.....the biggest waste of money I've ever seen. I know when I've entered Michigan because everything in your car bounces out of it's respective spot.

Thanks for the help. I contacted four on-line adverisers and an EBAY store...all about $225. Everyone called me back saying...none in stock, we'll look for you. Cancelled the order and having it welded tommorrow for $75. For poops and giggles I did confirm with Chrysler their price is $602.

It happened the week before Christmas so I was in a hurry. Chrysler dealer wanted 602...most websites 335. But everytime I ordered from website they emailed me back next day saying they couldn't locate one. Time pressing hard I had it welded the Tues before Christmas for 75. No problems since then.

Thanx to all that helped.

Beaner, do you still have these for sale? just how "not perfect" are they? Got any pics? Was looking to get some spares if in decent shape or at least fixable.
Thanks,
James1
