Very nice FP, should look fantastic on your ride.

 

I looked at the SRT wheels, but not quite wide enough, I like a large lip on the rear, the super staggered look is really mean on a nice coupe, IMO.

 

Well my wheels finally shipped. Got one today, and the other three are scheduled for tomorrow. Hopefuly I get them installed this Saturday.

 

are you happy now? no, I know you aren't.....you still have more areas of the car to chrome....but, this will set her off for sure....now get out and drive that baby....you have a lot of get togethers this summer....put your "dust" rag in your back pocket so you can polish her off when you stop somewhere....blingity blingity....lol

FP I can't believe you thought that up,,,,TOO DAMN FUNNY ,,,,,,, I had a 69 vdub I used to show until the motor home that we pulled it with (on a trailer) rolled backwards down a small hill and absolutely killed car and trailer ,,insurance man said it was the first vw he ever saw that brought 10 grand for a total ,this was in the earley 80's ,after that i just lost my steam for the show thing but they make really hot looking rides... Can't wait to see the wheels mounted on the Roadster,,

It looks perfect. Your wheels hopefully ship out Saturday.

 

The rest of my wheels came in yesterday, and they're looking good. I applied a couple of coats of wheel wax I bought from Discount Tire (BTW this product works wonders to keep off the brake dust from sticking to the wheels).

Looking forward to having them installed tomorrow.

If the trophy thread is any indication, I'd say we'll have to wait a few months before we see pics of the wheels.

You should have Gary come over, I'm sure he'd take a few pics for us.

 

Even better idea.....FP, Bring your car by my house tomorrow after the wheels are installed.
Or if you need a good tire shop.. the one by my house have mounted tires twice on mine and use great care when mounting tires.

 

Get some ceramic pads. We put Akebobo Euros on the red Xfire three weeks ago and virtually no dust now.
